History

Born in the early 2000s as the Pima Street Hockey League, our community has been a cornerstone for ball hockey enthusiasts in Tucson for decades. While we cherish our roots and the memories created, the decision to rebrand as Tucson Ball Hockey was driven by a vision to revitalize the group and usher in a new era filled with growth and opportunity.

Mission & Vision

At the heart of Tucson Ball Hockey is our mission to provide a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone to enjoy the sport. Our eyes are set on the future, with aspirations to expand into a league with multiple teams and divisions. We're also aiming to create a team that will proudly represent us in the National Ball Hockey League (NBHL).

Team & Leadership

Our league thrives under the guidance and dedication of key figures:

- David Theriot: Group Commissioner, Former NBHL California Division Player

- Jeff Lennon: Group Vice-Commissioner

- Brandon Fisher: Former Group Leader, Current Group Consultant, and NBHL Texas Division Player

- Alex Komperda: Former NBHL Chicago and Texas Player

- Frank Bolek: Longtime PSHL Player and Supporter

- Gary Cutri: PSHL Player and Digital Marketer/Web Designer

Community Involvement

We believe in giving back to the community that has given us so much. Our players have collaborated with Tucson Clean and Beautiful to adopt the Eric Michael Ogden Skate Park, ensuring it remains clean, safe, and enjoyable for all. This commitment to community service celebrated its first anniversary on February 28th, 2016.

Events & Activities

Our league is bustling with activity, with regular pick-up games every Saturday night. While we currently don't have annual tournaments, they are definitely on the horizon! We are also interested in future creating a team for the NBHL, or National Ball Hockey League.
